Pre Season Information

Training

Pre-season training started Tuesday 8th July from 7pm at Harold Wood Park. Sessions will now be held every Tuesday and Thursday until further notice. Training is available to all players and will be taken by Daren Brown, Wayne Robinson and Steve Portway.

Early sessions have been excellent with good attendance - if you haven't been yet, make the effort to get over there as soon as possible!

New players are welcome to attend - just turn up on the night and make yourself known to any of the people running the session.

Report on the 7-a-side tournament on Saturday 26th July.

We didn’t get through to the ¼’s as the two Debden teams went through in our group. One of the Debden teams finishing level on points with us and goal difference could have been settled with a penalty shootout but they decided to do it on head to head, so they went through. We won 2 drew 1 and lost 1, Danny Church scoring two, (one from 25 yds out, Pele 1 (absolute corker) Neil Mac 1(weak penalty)

Wayne missed a sitter from 2yds out in the final minute of our final game which would have put us through.

But the boys wanted to go home anyway as we had to wait an hour between games and this was eating into their drinking time, so not getting through was not a major disappointment, well only to Kevin Ayres as he wanted to win it……..he was last seen doing keepy uppys on the pitch after we had long gone and was heard to be asking other teams if he could play for them so he could win the tournament.

Oh and to rub it in Darren Wettner got himself injured so he could drink beer in front of all of us which did not go down well.
